Marius Botha, Chief Risk Officer, Asset Management
Marius Botha is Chief Risk Officer at M&G Investments, with responsibility for overseeing risk management across the Asset Management division. He brings extensive global experience across investment risk, credit risk, portfolio management and senior leadership.
Marius joined M&G in November 2020 as Group Chief Risk Officer and was seconded as Chief Executive Officer of M&G Southern Africa from February 2024 to February 2025, before returning to his current role. Prior to M&G, he was Global Director of Investment and Credit Risk at Aviva Investors, where he also held senior fund management and risk roles. Earlier in his career, he served in senior leadership positions at Reech AIM Group, AHL Man Group, Gartmore Investment Management and Threadneedle Investments, and began his career at Old Mutual Asset Management in South Africa.
