Richard Godfrey, Chief Operating Officer, Asset Management
Richard Godfrey joined M&G Investments in July 2023 as Chief Operating Officer for Asset Management, reporting to Joseph Pinto. With more than 40 years’ experience in financial services, he leads investment management operations and technology, working closely with Investment, Product and Distribution teams.
His role is central to ensuring M&G’s operating platform is scalable, resilient and aligned to the firm’s growth ambitions, while delivering consistently strong client outcomes. Before joining M&G, Richard spent 18 years at HSBC in senior leadership roles, including Global Chief Operating Officer of Securities Services and Global Co‑Head of Securities Services and Securities Financing. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of Mellon’s investment servicing business in Europe and held senior operational roles at Robert Fleming.
