Marcello Arona, Chief Financial Officer, Asset Management
Marcello Arona is Chief Financial Officer at M&G Investments, with responsibility for financial strategy, planning and oversight across the division. He brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and leadership within global asset management organisations.
Marcello joined M&G in 2025 from AXA Investment Managers, where he spent nearly two decades in senior roles including CEO of AXA IM UK, Regional CFO for the Americas and COO of AXA IM Italy. During this time, he led major transformation programmes, strengthened regulatory engagement and managed businesses across both traditional and alternative asset classes. Earlier in his career, Marcello held leadership roles at HSBC and began his professional career at PwC Italy.
