Frequently Asked Questions

This section contains answers to some of the most common questions we receive from our investors, and potential queries you may have. If the information you need is not included below, please contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 390 390.

I’ve just received my statement, what should I do next?

Once you’ve reviewed your statement, it can be a good time to consider whether your funds are performing in line with your expectations and if they still support your financial goals. If your circumstances have changed, you may want to consider adjusting your contributions or exploring other investment options. Visit our Managing your existing investments page for more information.

If you’re unsure what action to take, a financial adviser can help guide your next steps.

How can I get more up-to-date information about how my fund(s) have performed?

The easiest way to get the latest fund performance figures is by visiting our Fund Centre, searching for your fund and viewing the performance section. For a selected number of funds, monthly commentaries are also available.

Instead of scrolling through the full fund list each time, you can create a watchlist for quick access. Just click the star in the ‘Watchlist’ column next to the funds you want to track. On your next visit, click ‘Watchlist’ at the top of the page to view them instantly.

You can also log in to My Account at any time of the day for an online account valuation, rather than waiting for your next statement to see the value of your investment.

Do you offer statements in accessible formats such as enlarged print or braille?

Yes, we offer statements in enlarged print, braille and audio formats. To request an alternative format, simply call our Customer Relations team and let them know your preference. You’ll receive the standard printed version first, followed by your requested format.

There’s something in my statement I don’t understand – can you help explain it?

Absolutely. If anything in your statement is unclear, our Customer Relations team is here to help. We can talk you through the details and explain any terms or figures you’re unsure about. Give us a call on 0800 390 390

You can also visit our glossary for more information on the financial terms used in your statement.

If you’re unsure what action to take, a financial adviser can help guide your next steps.

I haven’t received my statement or I may have misplaced it – could you send me another one?

Yes. If you haven’t received your statement by Friday 14 November or have misplaced it, please contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 390 390 and request a duplicate statement. Please allow at least two weeks for delivery.

If you’re unsure what action to take, a financial adviser can help guide your next steps.

My statement appears to be missing transactions – what’s happened?

Statements reflect your account as of a specific valuation date. If you’ve made transactions (an investment) after that date, they won’t appear until your next statement. Instead of waiting until your statement to see the value of your investment, why not log in to My Account for 24/7 access to your transaction history and online valuation. Alternatively, contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 390 390 if you believe something is missing or there is an error in your statement.

How does this statement differ from the Value Assessment?

Your investment statement is a personalised summary of your account, showing fund values and transactions. The Value Assessment is a broader report that evaluates how well our funds deliver value to all investors, based on factors like performance, service and costs.

Visit our Annual Value Assessment page for more information and to view the latest report.

I invest via myM&G – why is my current valuation shown as zero balance?

If your current valuation is shown as a zero balance, this is likely because you have moved your investments from M&G to myM&G (our online investment service) within the statement review period. Please be assured this valuation does not reflect the value of your M&G investment on myM&G. We have a regulatory requirement to send you a statement for any transactions within the review period; however, you can log into myM&G to view your most up-to-date valuation.

How can I change my Direct Debit Instruction?

You can amend the amount or regularity of your contributions by calling our Customer Relations team on 0800 390 390. If you invest through The M&G Savings Plan, The M&G ISA or The M&G Junior ISA, you can also amend your Direct Debit instruction by completing and returning the relevant form from the Literature Centre
