Savings plan

Savings plans offer a simple way to invest as much as you would like, outside of The M&G ISA.

For more information on the financial terms used in this page, please consult the glossary.

The M&G Savings Plan

Whatever your situation in life, it’s never too early to start planning for the future. A regular savings plan can help you maximise potential investment growth in the long term (10 years or more). Investing regularly can help smooth out the ups and downs of the markets.

The M&G Savings Plan is designed to help you make regular investments in an M&G OEIC in an account outside of The M&G ISA. It gives you the freedom to invest from as little as £10.

You don’t need to invest a lump sum up front, but you can top up your plan with a one-off investment and make withdrawals whenever you like.

The M&G Savings Plan could suit you if you:

*An ISA cannot be held in joint names.

Is The M&G Savings Plan right for you?

This guide explains more about who The M&G Savings Plan is designed for, but please note this is our view and doesn’t take into account your individual circumstances.

Charges

Our charges vary between the funds that you can invest in, and then by the class of share they might hold.

For each fund, you will pay an ongoing charge (which consists of an annual charge and extraordinary expenses) plus a share of portfolio transaction costs (the costs incurred when funds buy and sell investments). Please see our Fund charges page  for more details.

Share classes

The share class available to you in The M&G Savings Plan will depend on the value of your holdings.

  • Sterling Class A Shares are for all customers with up to £499,999 per fund
  • Sterling Class I Shares are for customers with over £500,000 per fund or for total holdings on myM&G* over £250,000
  • Sterling Class R Shares are for customers with total holdings on myM&G* up to £249,999

*The savings plan facility on myM&G is part of the General Investment Account (GIA) product.

With The M&G Savings Plan, any income your investment generates is reinvested back into the fund to support its growth, rather than being paid out. These are known as accumulation shares and are shown as Accumulation (or Acc) after the fund name.

For more information, please visit our share classes page or read the Funds' prospectus.
